What is a residential proxy?

A residential proxy network consists of real IP addresses provided by Internet Service Providers (ISPs). These IP addresses are associated with physical locations around the world (at the country or city level). Residential proxies isolate you from regular web traffic, acting as a buffer that protects your online activities and hides your real IP address. In essence, a residential proxy assigns an alternative IP address to the user, providing greater anonymity and flexibility for web data collection.
